nest worked closely with a lovely client in Altrincham to create a beautiful sanctuary style bathroom. My client was renovating her en-suite bathroom and had a good idea of what she wanted for the space. She had seen an Osborne & Little wallpaper
in a hotel and fallen in love with it so we centred the scheme around this. The paper is bold and decorative with koi carp in a swirling pool. So, the rest of the scheme needed to work with this but allow it to take centre stage. She also wanted to include wood-effect porcelain floor tiles, a walk-in shower with brass fittings and a painted roll top bath. It was also essential to have sufficient storage to hide away all the various paraphernalia.
We decided on a taupe backdrop to marry with the wallpaper with gloss brick wall tiles
and maple effect plank floor tiles. Brushed brass fittings highlight the metallic detail in the patterned wallpaper and really give warmth to the scheme.
My client had a piece of Kintsugi ceramic which she was keen to incorporate so this was fitted as a corner shelf. The room has a lovely big window, with views over their beautiful garden from the hand painted roll top. All the little details included really enhance the sanctuary feel of the space, a perfect spot to escape to at the end of a busy day.
