Don’t forget the detail…

The old saying ‘the devil is in the detail’ is so true in interior projects. Often on a big project, so much time, effort and money is spent on the big items like structure, flooring and furniture that the smaller details don’t seem important. But, a little thought to the finishing touches can really elevate a project from standard to standout. I’ll talk you through a few areas where it pays to give some thought.

Sockets & switches. Gone are the days of standard plastic white as your only option. Today, the choice is endless, brushed brass, matt black, copper, even smoked gold. So, you can tie your switches to your cabinet handles in your new kitchen and really make the whole space look well thought through. Fabric cable. Want to elevate an inexpensive light fitting? Swap an ordinary white or black cable to a bright or patterned fabric cable and make it a feature in itself. Mint green, hot pink, the choice is yours so have fun with it.

Handles & knobs. Whether you’re having a new kitchen or revamping an existing one, your cabinet handles can really make your furniture stand out.
